3 Suspects Arrested in Lamont Armed Robbery Investigation- On January 4, 2026, at approximately 1:00 a.m., Kern County Sheriff’s Office deputies assigned to the Lamont Substation responded to reports of an armed robbery occurring at a business located in the 8200 block of Kimber Avenue.
During the initial investigation, deputies determined an unknown Hispanic male entered the business and brandished a firearm toward employees. The Hispanic male demanded currency, then fled the business toward a black sedan occupied by two additional male suspects.
Deputies from the Lamont substation, with assistance from the Kern County Sheriff's Office Gang Suppression Unit and Crime Scene Investigations Unit conducted the investigation and on February 4, 2026, served a search warrant in the 2100 block of Oakwood Drive in relation to the robbery.
Deputies identified Dominic Galvan, age 23, Edward Armendarez, age 46, and Richard Hernandez, age 40, were the three subjects involved in the armed robbery. All three subjects were arrested for the following violations: Penal Code 212.5- Robbery; Penal Code 245(a)(2)- Assault with a deadly weapon, firearm; Penal Code 182- Conspiracy and Penal Code 186.22(a)- Participation in a criminal street gang.
