A convicted child molester was sentenced to multiple life terms today. ⚖️
Last month, a Kern County jury found Deandre Weston guilty of two counts of oral copulation of a child under 10, two counts of sexual penetration with a child under 10, and one count of lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14.
The case was successfully prosecuted by Deputy DA Janae Knallay.
From 2017 to 2021, Weston committed frequent, repeated, and various acts of child molestation against the victim while she was between the ages of 6 and 10. After suffering for years, the victim reported the sexual abuse to a school teacher, who contacted Child Protective Services and Law Enforcement. An investigation by the Bakersfield Police Department resulted in Weston’s arrest.
This morning, the Honorable Judge Eric Bradshaw imposed the maximum sentence on Weston, ordering him to serve 120 years to life in prison.
