MOTHER ARRESTED FOR DEATH OF 2 YEAR OLD CHILD

Advisory: #LASD Suspicious Child Death Investigation #Lancaster

On November 26, 2025, Los Angeles County Homicide Investigators were notified by the Kern County Medical Examiner’s Office of the death of a 2-year-old child that initially occurred in the 44000 block of Cedar Avenue in the City of Lancaster.

Over the last eight months, homicide investigators continued their investigation and conducted several interviews. They also developed additional facts leading to the filing of a Ramey Warrant for the arrest of the victim’s biological mother, Rayzhanna Greenhoward. On July 9, 2026, Suspect Greenhoward was arrested and booked at the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station for murder.

On July 13, 2026, the facts of the case were presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office filed formal charges of Murder, Assault on a Child causing Death, and Child Abuse Resulting in Death.
