Antelope Valley Dust Storm
Just after 1:00pm on Tuesday September 2nd, a dust storm blew through the Antelope Valley. Blowing in from the southeast portion of the valley and moving towards the northwest almost all portions of the valley were impacted. Several transformer explosions possibly caused by the dust storm resulted in power outages in East Palmdale and Littlerock. This monsoonal driven weather is expected to continue through Wednesday. Strong winds, blowing dust, heavy rain, street flooding and thunder and lightning are possible throughout the Antelope Valley through tomorrow night.
