ARMED SUSPECT PULLS GUN ON PALMDALE DETECTIVE IN LITTLEROCK — SITUATION ONGOING A Palmdale detective working undercover surveillance on a robbery suspect was confronted at gunpoint in Littlerock, prompting a heavy law enforcement response and neighborhood containment. The incident is unfolding near 94th Street East and Avenue S-4 (Littlerock Ranchos Road) when the suspect — described as a white adult male driving an older Ford F-150 with Arizona plates — reportedly pulled a firearm on the detective. Multiple units responded as deputies set up containment around the location. After callouts were made, the primary suspect was taken into custody. A child was also called out from the residence safely. A female identified as Andrea has not come out, and deputies remain on scene. No injuries have been reported. On August 17, 2026, the Kern County Sheriff's Office, Kern County High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force (KC-HIDTA) was assisted by Wardens from the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (Cannabis Enforcement Program) and Task Force Officers with the Bakersfield Police Department in the execution of a search warrant at a residence in the 100 block of Camp Fire Drive, California City. KC-HIDTA lab personnel accessed the property with respect to the dangerous chemicals/ hazards present at the conversion lab, dismantled the conversion lab and notified Kern County Environmental Health. California City Code Enforcement responded, investigated the hazards present at the residence, and tagged the residence unsafe for occupying.
