Deputies responded to an Assault with a Deadly Weapon in the 45200 block of Redwood Avenue after witnesses reported a male suspect pointing a semi-automatic handgun at the victim.

Patrol deputies took the initial report, and the Lancaster Station Detective Bureau assumed control of the investigation.

Detectives worked diligently to identify the suspect and locate his residence. A search warrant was served, resulting in the arrest of the suspect and the recovery of three unregistered firearms, including the firearm used in the assault.

Another example of teamwork and proactive policing to keep our community safe.
