For years, LASD deputies have answered the call, responded to collisions, assisted motorists, investigated crashes, managed traffic hazards, and worked tirelessly to keep the streets of Lancaster safe. Their dedication, professionalism, and commitment to our community have not gone unnoticed. Now, as we enter this next chapter, the Lancaster Police Department is proud to take on this responsibility and build upon the strong foundation established. Taking on traffic collision investigations is more than responding to crashes. It means being there for our residents during some of their most stressful moments, helping keep our roadways safe, identifying traffic concerns, and working every day to make Lancaster a safer place to live, work, and visit. What the community should know: •Injury/serious collisions: Call 911 — LPD will respond and investigate. •Non-injury collisions: Call the LPD non-emergency traffic collision line at 661-723-5899. •Traffic hazards: Report them directly to LPD. •Non-emergency business: Call the LPD non-emergency business line at 661-723-6063. •Crime calls: These will continue to be handled by the LASD Lancaster Station. This change officially takes effect September 1, 2026, at 9:00 AM. #LancasterCA #LancasterPolice #CommunityFirst #PublicSafety #TrafficSafety
