DEVELOPING — BODY FOUND HANGING IN VEHICLE NEAR AVE A & SIERRA HWY

CHP responded to a parking complaint at Avenue A and Sierra Highway after a caller reported a vehicle that had been sitting in the area for about a week.

When the officer arrived on scene, he discovered a deceased individual hanging by a rope inside the vehicle.

The officer immediately requested fire department personnel and additional units. Based on initial observations, there were obvious signs of death, and the incident appears to be a suicide.

The area may see increased law enforcement presence as the investigation continues. Identity of the deceased has not been released.
