Fatal Hit and Run Palmdale Traffic Collison
On Saturday, November, 1, 2025, at approximately 4:15 a.m., personnel from Palmdale Sheriff’s Station responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian, hit and run traffic collision at the intersection of 20th Street East and Avenue S within the City of Palmdale.
The preliminary facts of this investigation indicate at approximately 4:10 a.m. on November 1, 2025, a 2003 light blue Mercury Grand Marquis was driving westbound on Avenue S in the number one lane. The pedestrian was pushing a shopping cart and crossing Avenue S, southbound at the intersection of 20th Street East on a red traffic signal. The driver of the Grand Marquis collided into the pedestrian and continued westbound on Avenue S and out of view. The driver failed to stop and render aid to the pedestrian or contact law enforcement.
The pedestrian was pronounced deceased on scene. The driver of the Grand Marquis and the vehicle were located at an address within the city of Palmdale. The driver was arrested for multiple felony charges and the vehicle was impounded for evidence. Alcohol was a factor in this collision.
The investigation is ongoing and there is no additional information at this time.
