**FATAL PEDESTRIAN COLLISION REPORTED IN PALMDALE – FEMALE TAKEN INTO CUSTODY**

**PALMDALE, CA** – A pedestrian was reportedly struck and killed by a vehicle Friday evening, October 9, in the area of N-12 and 20th Street West.

The incident was reported at approximately 6:59 p.m., involving a white Hyundai Genesis and a pedestrian.

Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel and law enforcement responded to the scene. The incident was classified as a fatality.

At approximately 7:13 p.m., CHP initiated road closures along 20th Street West between Avenue N-4 and Avenue N-12.

**At approximately 8:08 p.m., a female was taken into custody in connection with the incident.** The reason for her detention has not been confirmed.

The identity of the deceased has not been released. The circumstances surrounding the collision remain under investigation.
