Following a comprehensive investigation by the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station Community Appreciation Project (LAN-CAP), one suspect connected to a recent armed robbery at a local liquor store has been identified and arrested.
During the initial incident, two suspects robbed a local business while holding an employee at gunpoint and brandishing an assault weapon equipped with a high-capacity drum magazine.
LAN-CAP deputies identified the suspect vehicle and an individual involved, leading to the execution of multiple search warrants at three separate locations. Evidence related to the robbery was recovered during these operations.
LAN-CAP deputies later responded to a separate call for service involving a man with a firearm. Deputies detained the suspect and recovered an assault weapon with a drum magazine, which was positively identified as the firearm used in the liquor store robbery.
The suspect, a 19-year-old male from Mojave, was arrested for the robbery and multiple weapons violations. The firearm was recovered. The suspect was later released by the court on his own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in court on 2/19/26.
This investigation remains ongoing. No further information is available at this time.
