Man Found Shot to Death Inside Crashed Vehicle in Victorville, Sheriff's Homicide Detail Investigating

INCIDENT: PC 187 - Murder

LOCATION: 5th Avenue, North of Bear Valley Road, Victorville

SUSPECT(S): Unknown

VICTIM(S): Carl Adrienne Moreno, 71-year-old, Resident of Victorville

SUMMARY: On Saturday, May 9, 2026, Sheriff’s Dispatch received a call from a reporting party after they saw a crashed vehicle on 5th Avenue, north of Bear Valley Road. The caller reported an unconscious male subject was inside a blue Chevy truck. Deputies arrived and found the male, later identified as Carl Adrienne Moreno, suffering from a gunshot wound. Medical aid responded and pronounced Moreno deceased.

The Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division – Homicide Detail responded and assumed the investigation. A suspect has not been identified, and the investigation is ongoing.
