Motorcycle Crash on Northbound 14 Freeway Near Sand Canyon
SANTA CLARITA, CA — CHP responded around 2:50 p.m. Monday to a motorcycle crash on the northbound 14 Freeway just north of Sand Canyon Road.
According to the CHP incident log, witnesses reported that a pickup truck cut off the motorcycle as the rider was entering the HOV lane, causing the motorcycle to crash into the center divider.
The rider was found down in the center divider. The vehicle involved was initially reported as a white Toyota Tacoma, which reportedly left the scene following the collision. CHP later contacted the driver in heavy traffic.
The extent of the motorcyclist’s injuries is currently unknown. Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel also responded to the scene.
The collision remains under investigation
