Murder Suspect Flees Location and is Later Found in Apple Valley with a Gunshot Wound

DATE: October 11, 2025 / 11:55 p.m.

INCIDENT: PC 187 – Murder

LOCATION: 28300 Block of Old Highway 58, Barstow

SUSPECT(S): Andrew Limon, 31-years-old, Resident of Apple Valley

VICTIM(S): Jesse Edward Murueta Cervantes, 35-years-old, Resident of Ontario

SUMMARY: On Saturday, October 11, 2025, at about 11:55 p.m., Barstow deputies responded to a residence for a report of shots fired. When they arrived, they discovered the victim, Jesse Edward Murueta Cervantes, in the backyard of the residence suffering from a gunshot wound. Murueta Cervantes was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division – Homicide Detail responded to the location and assumed the investigation. Through investigation, detectives learned the reporting party’s ex-boyfriend, Andrew Limon, arrived at the location and shots were fired in the backyard. Limon shot Murueta Cervantes and fled the location.

During the investigation, Apple Valley deputies responded to a call for service and found Limon in the driver’s side of his vehicle, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to the hospital and will be booked for PC 187 – Murder upon medical clearance. It is believed Limon was shot during the incident.
