On July 14, 2026, officers with the Adult Probation Services Division conducted a home call in the 100 block of West Mojave Rose Avenue in Ridgecrest, CA. Officers contacted Adrian Ortiz who is on felony probation with search orders for stolen property and alcohol. During a search, officers located a 30-30 caliber Marlin Rifle with several rounds of ammunition. As a result, Ortiz was arrested for felon in possession of a firearm and possession of ammunition in addition to a violation of probation.
