PALMDALE MOBILE HOME PARK RESIDENTS REPORT DAYS WITHOUT WATER DURING TRIPLE-DIGIT HEAT

PALMDALE, CA — Residents at Sagetree Village Manufactured Home Community on Avenue R say they have been without running water as temperatures in the Antelope Valley climb above 100 degrees.

Residents say the 330-unit community is home to an estimated 600 to 900 people, including many elderly and disabled residents. Several said the lack of water is especially concerning because many homes rely on swamp coolers, which require water to operate effectively.

According to residents, management attributed the outage to a major water leak or main break. One resident said water service went out twice Friday, but after the second outage, it never returned.

Residents also claim similar problems have occurred in the past, including an outage in November 2025 that reportedly left portions of the community without water and gas for several days.

Some residents said they were provided limited bottled water and were told they could use water from the community pool while repairs were underway.

“There is no water. No ability for our elderly and disabled to protect themselves from the heat,” one resident said. “This shouldn’t be happening. It’s inhumane.”

Another resident told AV Scanner News: “We’ve been with no water for 18 hours and won’t have any until Monday. CBS and KTLA will be here. The property manager’s husband threatened one of the tenants. They blocked our numbers as well, and we haven’t received any water drop-off.” The allegations regarding the reported threat and blocked phone numbers have not been independently verified.

Residents have also raised additional concerns regarding maintenance, security and ongoing water-system problems at the property.

Sagetree Village is managed by Westwind Enterprises, which describes the property as a gated manufactured home community with 24-hour on-site management.

Residents say they have been told water service is expected to be restored sometime Monday. It remains unclear exactly when service will return or what accommodations will be provided to residents until then
