March 26, 2026 DATE OF EVENT: March 24, 2026

TYPE OF EVENT: Petty theft with 2 or more priors

SUSPECT: Trey Jordan Troxell, 32 year old Ridgecrest Resident LOCATION: 800 N. China Lake Blvd., Ridgecrest, California On March 24, 2026, at approximately 1350 hours, officers responded to Stater Brothers in regards to a shoplifting. Officers were told a subject with a “manbun” and neck tattoos entered the store and attempted to steal 6 cases of Monster Energy drinks. The suspect was only successfully able to steal 2, 24 packs of Monster Energy drinks. Officers were provided video surveillance of the suspect and officers recognized him as Trey Troxell. Officers subsequently located Troxell and took him into custody. During the investigation, officers learned Troxell was selling the stolen merchandise to another business in town so they could resell it. Detectives went to that store and located the stolen merchandise, subsequently seizing it. Troxell has been convicted of several theft related offenses in the past, making him eligible for (PC) 666.1(a)(1)- Petty theft with 2 or more priors.
