Taft Search Warrant and Arrest

On October 8, 2026, Kern County Sheriff's Office deputies assigned to the Taft substation with the assistance of Kern County Sheriff’s Office High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas Task Force (KC-HIDTA) and Taft Police Department executed a search warrant in the 27000 block of Hwy 119 in Taft. During the search warrant, there was a total of 660 marijuana plants that were eradicated. Additionally, dangerous pesticides were found within the grow site.

Rogelio Lorenzo Francisca (32) from Guerrero Mexico was arrested for HS 11358(c); Cultivation of marijuana, HS 11359(b); Marijuana for sales, PC 182(a)(1); Conspiracy, and PC 148(a)(1); delay/resist/obstruct arrest and was booked into the Taft jail facility.
