The Kern County District Attorney’s Office has filed a criminal complaint against Bryant Turhanemmerson Moreland following an extensive investigation into statements made by Moreland in The Sick Mind of EDP445 documentary.
On November 2, 2026, criminal charges were filed against Moreland to include: • Attempt to Commit Lewd Acts Upon a Child (felony) • Meeting Minor for Lewd Purposes (felony) • Contact Minor with Intent to Commit Sexual Offense (felony) • Distributing or Showing Pornography to a Minor (felony)
The charges stem from an alleged incident involving a child under 14 years old that occurred on April 17, 2021. When the Kern County District Attorney’s Office initially reviewed the incident in 2021 and 2022, there were significant challenges in pursuing prosecution, particularly due to the lack of cooperation from the reporting parties.
In light of recent statements made by Moreland in the documentary, the Kern Couty District Attorney’s Office and the Kern County Sherriff’s Office reopened the investigation. Following its review of the new evidence, the District Attorney’s Office determined that the evidentiary threshold for filing criminal charges had been met.
On November 4, 2026, with the assistance of the Las Vegas Police Department, suspect Moreland was located in Las Vegas, arrested, and taken into custody. An arraignment hearing will be scheduled following Moreland’s extradition to Kern County.
As with any criminal case, a defendant is presumed innocent unless and until the charges are proven in court beyond a reasonable doubt.
