The Lancaster Police Department will conduct a DUI checkpoint on April 25 from 6:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. Impaired driving, whether from alcohol, cannabis, prescription medication, or a combination, is dangerous and illegal. Even when someone “feels fine,” impairment slows reaction time, reduces focus, and puts lives at risk. If you plan to drink or use any substance that affects your ability to drive, make a plan before you go: ✔️ Designate a sober driver ✔️ Use a rideshare service ✔️ Call a friend or family member ✔️ Plan ahead and stay the night A DUI arrest can cost more than $13,500 in fines and fees — but the real cost could be someone’s life.
