The Lemon Fire was mapped at 273 acres once forward progress was stopped. As of the latest update from CAL FIRE, the fire is 83% contained. The fire started on June 13 at approximately 2:11 p.m. near Sierra Highway and Pearblossom Highway, south of Palmdale. The cause remains under investigation.

Crews made significant progress over the following days and all evacuation orders have since been lifted.
