LOS ANGELES — A television news helicopter crashed while providing aerial coverage of a deadly Metro bus crash in the San Fernando Valley.
The helicopter went down near Nordhoff Street and De Soto Avenue, close to the scene of an earlier collision involving a Metro bus and an SUV. The aircraft reportedly came down between two buildings, landing on top of shipping containers and several parked vehicles.
A large fire erupted following the helicopter crash, prompting a significant response from Los Angeles firefighters.
