UPD #LASD Homicide Detectives Responded to a Deputy-Involved Shooting, 44000 Blk 15th Street West #Lacanster

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide investigators are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding a deputy involved shooting incident in the city of Lancaster. On September 7, 2026, at approximately 9:46 a.m., Lancaster Station deputies responded to the 44000 block of 15th Street West in the city of Lancaster regarding a call of a domestic violence incident, man with a gun.

The call stated that a male adult, armed with a gun, is the ex-husband of the victim and he is trying to force her into a vehicle.

Responding deputies located and contacted the suspect in front of the location. The suspect was in possession of a handgun and he had his ex-wife in a headlock. When the suspect pointed his handgun and fired at deputies, a deputy involved shooting occurred.

The suspect was struck by gunfire. The victim and the deputies were uninjured.

Deputies rendered medical aid to the suspect. Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel responded and transported the suspect to a local hospital, where he is listed in stable condition. A firearm was recovered at the scene.
