UPDATE FROM BENNY’S MOM:
“My son is the boy who was murdered on May 13, 2024, at El Dorado Park. The suspect, John Ojeda, is trying to take a deal of 50 years, meaning he will be out in 22 years. He falls under a youth offender law, and we are fighting for justice and for a trial.”
Benny was 14 years old.
His family says they continue to fight for justice and want Benny’s story to remain heard as the court process continues.
