Vegetation Fire – Initial Report

Units are responding to a reported vegetation fire near East Avenue H & North 70th Street East in Lancaster.

Initial assignment shows L.A. County Fire Division 5 with multiple ground and command resources responding. Engine 117 is currently on scene with additional engines, patrol, water tender, camp crew, and command units enroute.

No size-up, rate of spread, or structure threat information is shown yet.

UPDATE: The fire is approx 1 acre in light fuels, moving to the east - per unit at scene. Additional resources have been requested.

UPDATE 2: The fire is now approx 30 acres with a potential for a couple hundred acres - per radio traffic
