****WEATHER ALERT****
The Antelope Valley is in store for interesting weather during the week ahead. Many woke up to frosty conditions today as overnight temperatures dipped to the mid to high 20s. Tonight’s temperatures may also drop below 32°. Please watch out for your pets and plants.
The National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning for most of the Antelope Valley beginning Monday with winds peaking Tuesday afternoon. Those living in the Santa Clarita Valley, San Fernando Valley and across the Los Angeles basin will be feeling the impact of a moderate to strong Santa Ana wind event. Gusts across the region are forecasted for 35 - 55mph.
Rain is forecasted to return to the Antelope Valley later this week. Another warm Pacific storm is predicted to slam the region beginning as early as Wednesday evening and will impact the valley through Friday. Rain totals for the AV are expected to be 1” - 3”. This will impact any outdoor activities on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. Please plan accordingly.
