📢 Important Update for LA County Renters & Landlords
Starting April 16, 2026, the eviction threshold for unpaid rent will increase to 2 months of Fair Market Rent (FMR).
This means landlords cannot evict for non-payment of rent unless the amount owed exceeds this threshold.
This new rule applies to rental units in unincorporated Los Angeles County only.
