Lancaster Deputies currently working a shots fired call in the area of 235th Street East and Avenue M. Call for service stated callers neighbor was intoxicated and firing at him. Caller stated he fired back but was shot and hung up.

Deputies arrived on scene along with AV CHP units. Suspect was still armed walking in and out of buildings on the property.

A Deputy involved shooting occured and suspect appeared to not be hit by law enforcement gun fire.

The suspect kept walking in and out of out buildings with a gun.

The sheriff and CHP helicopters reported the suspects hat was blown off his head and was on the ground by an apparent pool of blood. Deputies on the ground reported hearing a gunshot at the same time

CHP and LASD made entry into the property. CHP supervisor advises CPR was being started and suspect appeared to have a self-inflicted gun shot wound.

Deputies are currently searching the rest of the property attempting to locate a female adult that was on the property.

Female was located in a building unharmed and advises no other people were on the property.

Units from other sheriff's stations in the county are currently enroute code 3 to assist with scene containment
