A dramatic incident unfolded in Lancaster today when deputies responded to a call around 1:30 a.m. about a group of people waving guns at American Heroes Park. Upon arrival, one suspect fled on foot, prompting a foot pursuit. During the chase, the suspect produced a firearm and shot himself intentionally.
Deputies immediately provided aid to the suspect until the Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACoFD) arrived to take over medical care. The investigation is currently ongoing.
