Last week, Lancaster PD conducted an operation supported by LA County Fire Inspectors, regarding an illegal nightclub near Avenue I and 10th Street West.

During the operation, LPD’s Special Investigations team found: • Large quantity of Methamphetamine • Loaded firearm and ammunition • Large amount of commercial-grade fireworks • Flammable blackout curtains • Steel barricades on every exit except one

In addition to the hazards inside, the event scheduled to take place the night of the operation was actively promoted to underage attendees.

This location was unpermitted, unzoned, and unsafe. The property has now been yellow-tagged and secured by the building owner. This was more than a code violation — it was a disaster waiting to happen.
