More enforcement. Fewer collisions.

New first-quarter data shows traffic enforcement efforts in Lancaster are delivering results: • Total collisions down 22% • Injury collisions down 18% • Non-injury collisions down 25% • DUI collisions down 35%

At the same time: • Total citations increased 116% • Hazardous citations increased 144% • Traffic enforcement index rose 155%

As Mayor R. Rex Parris said, “When you put more officers in the field and enforce the law, people change their behavior.”

These results reflect focused traffic enforcement, local investment in public safety and continued partnership through Lancaster’s hybrid policing model, with Lancaster PD and LASD working together to make our streets safer.
