On March 3, 2026, officers with the Kern County Probation Department’s Adult Probation Services Division, Supervision Unit D, conducted a home call in the 1200 block of Packard Drive in Arvin, California. During the home call, officers contacted Peter Moreno. Moreno is on felony probation with search terms for weapons. During a search, officers located a rifle, a semi-automatic handgun, magazines, and ammunition. As a result of the investigation, Moreno was arrested for being a felon in possession of a firearm, possession of ammunition by a prohibited person, and gang participation along with several other firearm related charges. The Kern County Probation Department remains dedicated to ensuring public safety and upholding the law.
