Date: March 22, 2026

Two suspects arrested for Maintaining a Drug House, Possession of Narcotics for Sales, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Felon in Possession of Ammunition, Possession of a High-Capacity Magazine, Conspiracy to Commit a Crime, and Child Endangerment.

Suspect #1: Rumaldo Rodriguez “Prieto”, 30-year-old, resident of Golden Hills Suspect #2: Brittany Leanne Hernandez, 30-year-old, resident of Golden Hills

On March 22, 2026, officers with the Tehachapi Police Department executed a search warrant in the 20400 block of Dawn Avenue in the Golden Hills area of Tehachapi.

During the search, officers located a loaded firearm, ammunition, a high-capacity magazine, police scanners, digital scales, packaging material, a video surveillance system, a large sum of cash and approximately one half pound of methamphetamine. A Bakersfield Police Department K-9 assisted in the search.

The Tehachapi Police Department subsequently booked Mr. Rodriguez and Ms. Hernandez into the Kern County Jail for the above-mentioned charges.

The Tehachapi Police Department has zero tolerance for the sale of illegal drugs within our community. Our officers are committed to proactively investigating, apprehending and arresting those who choose to engage in this activity.
