Suspect in Lancaster Homicide in Custody
Jossimar Cabrera was taken into custody and extradited back to the United States on December 12, 2025. He arrived at Los Angeles International Airport on Friday evening, where U.S. Marshals and Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department personnel took him into custody and booked him on suspicion of murder. 
He is accused of killing his wife, Sheylla Gutiérrez Cabrera, 33, in August 2025 at their apartment in Lancaster. After the alleged killing, he fled to Peru with the couple’s three young sons.
The children were located in Peru and were repatriated to Los Angeles to be reunited with their mother’s family earlier in the case.
