Update from San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department : Deputy Involved Shooting - Detective Injury Our detective who was injured during yesterday’s deputy involved shooting underwent successful surgery and is in stable condition. He continues to recover and is expected to be released from the hospital in the near future. We are grateful to the members of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department for their quick response, assistance, and immediate medical care provided to our detective. We also want to thank the medical professionals and hospital staff at Antelope Valley Medical Center who continue to provide him with excellent medical care. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is handling the investigation into the deputy involved shooting and will provide additional updates as appropriate
